As an Online Business Manager (OBM) I specialize in getting the RIGHTstuff done in your business, taking things off your plate and managing the day-to-day of your business to free up your time so that you can focus your time and energy on doing the things that only YOU can do in your business. 

This includes all business building activities like marketing, sales, working with clients, product development, strategic alliances and big picture business planning – all of which are essential to the growth of a business.

  • Blog/content Management – Having created and sold my own “online” business I know and understand that content is king. It is essential to create a schedule for blog posts, article submissions, etc, I also like to automate where it makes sense and create spreadsheets to ensure that articles and blog posts are distributed to the proper channels in a timely and efficient manner on a regular schedule. I am well versed with WordPress and have been using it for many years now as CMS as well as a website management system, using plugins and add on’s WishList Member and more. In the online world it is essential to keep fresh content and eyeballs on your blog/website, I ensure there that this stuff is getting done so that when people visit your site they are greeted with fresh content, this helps to build the know, like and trust factor which is essential in order to make the sale.
  • General Project Management – Before I started my official “online” career I worked at several commercial construction businesses, it was my job to ensure that things got done in an efficient and timely manner. I truly enjoy creating procedures and policies and and putting them into action to achieve a higher level of success in anything that I accomplish for myself or my clients. Project management is essential to an online business, without someone managing the projects things just don’t get done, I make sure not only that things are getting done but the RIGHT things are getting done, helping you to create new revenue streams and ensuring the business is growing.
  • Marketing Management – Because I come from an “internet marketing” background and really enjoy this niche and its ever changing evolution I bring a lot to the table with my understanding of the mechanics and what needs to get done while being able to focus on the bottom line
  • Online List Management -  I am very well versed in several popular autoresponder accounts like the the ones you mentioned InfusionSoft, 1ShoppingCart and Aweber as well as iContact, Constant Contact, Mail Chimp and more. I understand what needs to get done and how to do it so I take the management of this off the business owners plate.
  • Operations Management – I understand what needs to get done in order to make a business run smoothly, updating SOP’s(standard operating procedures) or creating them and make sure things get done efficiently and effectively.
  • Product Creation - Product creation is a fun and necessary part of business. I enjoy creating packages and offerings based on the need of the market. For past clients, I have helped them to create the following types of products, multimedia products (audio and video), ebooks, bundled products (ebooks, mp3′s, videos, etc), teleseminars, mini courses (audio, video and auto responder format as well as membership type of format), packaged products such as group coaching with a monthly call aspect with audio and/or webinar format, etc. Having more revenue streams so that you can appeal to and work with a larger group of people thus increasing your sales.
  • Shopping Cart Management/Ecommerce Management – I am very well versed in several popular shopping carts, the majority of people that I work with are using the 1Shopping Cart or InfusionSoft tool at this level but I also know PayPal merchant accounts, and other popular shopping carts like Volusion, StoresOnline, etc, Like it or not shopping carts are an essential part of an online business, making sure your shopping cart is set up properly can be an overwhelming and time consuming process, handing this off to an OBM allows you to focus on the more important things, like growing your business.
  • Team Management – Through out my professional career I have been in a position to help manage and/or hire a team of people and colleagues to work with. From back in the day when I was helping to run the commercial construction businesses to my “online” career days where I have hired and managed people for my own team as well as my clients team. I have found that a project management tool such as Central Desktop, Client Spot or DeskAway, or BaseCamp, etc is essential to the success of running a virtual team. One of my greatest sense of accomplishment was when a client was doing a huge promotion and roll out for a new website that he had created, he wanted to work with VA’s from the Phillipines to do the marketing, web development and product creation side of things, I was actually the only member on the team that was here in the US. The project had its challenges, especially considering the language barrier which was expected but after only a few short weeks I was able to create procedures and instructions to the team that allowed the project to be a huge success. It was also a great learning experience I was glad to have under my belt. When  you work on the “online” world its inevitable that you will have more than one person on your team, there is the graphic designer, the web guys or gal, copy righter, VA, etc you need to have smooth running team, with the lines of communication open all the time to ensure that stuff is getting time in a timely and efficient manner, this can be overwhelming and time consuming, handing this off to an OBM is great way to free up the business owners time, so that they cone focus their time and energy on more important things, like growing their business.
  • Website Management – Through running my own websites as well as some of my clients websites I have had the pleasure and experience of hiring and working with web developers along the way. I understand how to communicate with them and set deadlines that they can achieve. Let’s face it, if you are going to conduct business in the online world you are going to have to have a website and keeping that website up to date is key to keep prospects coming back for more so that they can buy from you but that does not mean you have to do it all on your own. An OBM can help to manage your website for you so that you can focus on doing what only you can do in your business.
